Experiencing the Divine...through another innocent child...

Happily submitted by Lenore Dixon
Christmas Eve, 21st century INCARNATION..."...the Word became flesh and came among us..."

We think of the Nativity, the story of the birth of the Christ, as "incarnation", God being visible in our lives; it is the benchmark of Deity invading our lives and reminding us that "I AM present with you."

I experienced a "living" incarnation while rehearsing a Christmas Eve Dance Devotion with Sophia (11 yrs on December 31st). I watched as this beautiful, pure and innocent child gave life through her lyrical dance interpretation of the words of a contemporary Christmas Carol, MARY DID YOU KNOW, "...that (Mary) when you kissed your little baby, you kissed the face of God...".

As she danced, Sophia gestured a kiss to a "baby" whom she cradled in her arms and then extended her arms heavenward as she "kissed the face of God".

The combination of  Sophia’s inspired dance, the vocal solo and organ accompaniment helped to create this "Godsome Moment."
